Virtual Reality Interaction Research

Research Overview:
I contributed to
VR interaction research whose goal, when complete, is to better understand the emotional reaction of users when placed in 3D virtual reality scenes designed to elicit a specific emotional reaction. We hope to better understand the user experience within a VR space in regards to world building, interactions, and UI. This research is still ongoing and being led by Dr. Pratheep Paranthaman at Elon University

My Contributions:

As the second student assigned to this research, I added stories, interactions, and UI to three different VR worlds created by the peer that participated before me. I utilized Unity and C# which I deployed on a Meta Quest 3 to create, test and experience the worlds for myself. I learned the principles of VR development, optimization, and debugging. This page will be updated with findings once research is complete.
